Basic knowledge of brake
The brake is classified as follows:
1) Friction brake can be divided into disc brake, external holding block brake, internal expansion shoe brake, belt brake, comprehensive belt brake, double shoe brake, multi shoe brake, simple belt brake, single disc brake, multi disc brake, fixed caliper brake, floating brake, etc.
2) Non friction brake can be divided into magnetic particle brake, magnetic eddy current brake, water eddy current brake, etc.
Disc brake. Caliper brake is a kind of disc brake, non friction brake. It can be divided into magnetic particle brake, magnetic eddy current brake, water eddy current brake and so on.
Brake is a device with the functions of decelerating, stopping or maintaining the stop state of moving parts (or moving machinery). It is a mechanical part that stops or decelerates the moving parts in the machine. Commonly known as brake and brake.
Braking principle
1. Brake is a device that uses friction torque to reduce the speed of moving parts of the machine or stop its rotation.
2. Conditions that the brake must meet:
(1) It can produce enough braking torque.
(2) The structure is simple and compact.
(3) Fast, stable and reliable braking.
(4) The brake parts shall have sufficient strength and stiffness, and the brake belt and drum shall have high wear resistance and heat resistance. (5) Convenient adjustment and maintenance.
3. The brake is generally set on the shaft with high speed in the mechanism (small torque) to reduce the size of the brake.
4. The specific classification is as follows:
1) Friction brake can be divided into disc brake, external holding block brake, internal expansion shoe brake, belt brake, comprehensive belt brake, double shoe brake, multi shoe brake, simple belt brake, single disc brake, multi disc brake, fixed caliper brake, floating brake, etc.
2) Non friction brake can be divided into magnetic particle brake, magnetic eddy current brake, water eddy current brake, etc.
1、 Disc brake
1. Composition: controlled by hydraulic pressure. The main parts include brake disc, wheel cylinder, brake caliper, oil pipe, etc.
2. Working principle: during braking, the oil is pressed into the inner and outer wheel cylinders, and the piston presses the two brake pads against the brake disc under the action of hydraulic pressure to produce friction distance and brake. At this time, the edge of the rectangular rubber seal ring in the wheel cylinder groove produces a small amount of elastic deformation under the action of piston friction. When the brake is released, the piston and brake pad return to their original positions by the elastic force of the sealing ring and the spring. Because the deformation of the edge of the rectangular seal ring is very small, when the brake is not used, the gap between the friction plate and the disc is only about 0.1mm on each side, which is enough to ensure the release of the brake. When the brake disc is heated and expanded, there is only a slight change in its thickness, so the phenomenon of "supporting stagnation" will not occur. The rectangular rubber sealing ring not only plays the role of sealing, but also plays the role of piston return and automatic clearance adjustment. If the clearance wear between the friction plate and the disc of the brake pad increases, and the deformation of the sealing ring reaches the limit during braking, the piston can still continue to move until the friction plate presses the brake disc. After the brake is released, the distance that the rectangular rubber sealing ring pushes the piston back is the same as that before wear, and the standard value is still maintained.
3. Features: the rotating element in the friction pair is the brake disc. The brake disc rotates with the wheel hub and takes the two end faces as the working surface. The fixed element is the brake caliper. The brake caliper presses the brake pad against the brake disc under the action of the brake wheel cylinder, resulting in braking friction torque.
4. Application: disc brake has been widely used in cars. Now most cars are used for all wheels, and a few cars are only used as front wheel brake, which is matched with the drum brake of the rear wheel, so as to make the car have high directional stability when braking. In commercial vehicles, disc brakes are gradually adopted in new models and high-end models.
