    Comments:

    1)

    The increase in perbance refers to the computational perbance available. Depending on the technological/process-related conditions, this increase in perbance is included in the total result. A faster IPO clock cycle (as a result of faster processors) and lower PLC cycle times result, partially, in significantly improved technological/process-related results; e.g. shorter unit/clock cycle times, higher speeds for eccentric turning, higher feed rates for mould construction.

    The number specified is the upper address number that can be used; the maximum number of FBs, FCs and DBs is, as a total, 2048!
    Reserved addresses should be taken into account; refer to the current documentation.

    3)

    4096 additional I/O addresses are available and can be seen in STEP 7; however these addresses are reserved for future applications. For compatibility reasons, these addresses may not be used. 
    The diagnostic addresses (presently at the upper end 1023, 1022) must be appropriaby marshaled in the PLC project; refer to the current documentation.

    Brief instructions: (prerequisites: SIMATIC know-how; STEP 7)
    When changing-over from an NCU with PLC315-2DP to an NCU with PLC 314C-2DP or PLC317-2DP, in the hardware configuration in the module catalog, the matching Rack0 should be selected under "SIMATIC 300\SINUMERIK\810D / 840D".
    Further it should be checked as to whether a Profibus diagnostics block of A&D AS (FC125 or FB125) is used. These blocks must be brought up to the actual version (V4.9).
